Country Roads
Multimedia exhibition, 2016 — MiM Gallery, Los Angeles
Country Roads mines the personal and cultural, forming multimedia works featuring appropriated video from 1970’s television shows (Green Acres, Little House on the Prairie, The Beverly Hillbillies), in combination with imagery from growing up in a commune where physical work was valued as a consciousness-raising tool. In "Work", (a ‘video sculpture’), footage with characters working is projected onto a plexiglass floor construction, spilling onto the wall behind to form a doubling, echoing, reflecting place akin to remembering.
