High Glam (abstractions)

Beginning with a Vogue Italia spread from March 2010 depicting women with children and pianos, these drawings trace the original magazine imagery shot by Miles Aldridge, isolating and heightening color palette. The paintings isolate the instance in the drawings where text was obscured, and scale up, resulting in an abstraction of what came before, and shape emerging from editorial text block.
