House Objects
forty five digital prints and a single channel, 3 minute video loop, 2005
A video is made by circumnavigating forty-five household objects displayed on a ledge. The camera moves around the room, alighting momentarily on objects only to speed off again in pursuit of the next. The video is paired with silhouetted digital prints of the objects, this is meant to underline the gesture inherent in each object and the persistence of vision. The objects are thus so simplified and stilled that they appear almost as if from memory.
